Welcome Kevin Carlos!

Kevin Carlos is a new Aiglon. The 24-year-old Spanish centre-forward joins OGC Nice from FC Basel (Swiss Super League).

After successive experiences in his native Spain (Huesca) and then Switzerland (Yverdon, Basel), Kevin Carlos Omoruyi Benjamin, to give him his full name, arrives in Nice with the ambition of reaching new heights.

Last season, he was particularly effective, scoring 15 goals in 39 matches (23 starts), for a total of 2,298 minutes played. An impressive record for a striker with an imposing physique, capable of putting pressure on defences and putting in relentless effort.

"What attracted us was his profile as a modern centre forward: powerful, capable of playing as a target man or attacking in behind," explains Florian Maurice. "He has a strong presence in duels, both on the ground and in the air. He is right-footed, but has the ability to finish with both feet, which is also a valuable asset."

"He fits the profile we were looking for up front, with consistent performances over the last two seasons,’ explains Fabrice Bocquet. “Beyond his obvious physical qualities, Kevin has real mental strength. He is combative, very involved in work off the ball, with a mindset focused on effort and teamwork."

"I am very happy to be joining OGC Nice,” says Kevin Carlos. "It's an ambitious club. I am looking forward to discovering the Allianz Riviera, the supporters and my new teammates. I am arriving with enthusiasm, determination and the goal to help the team go as far as possible."
