Ismaël Koné joins Le Gym
Ismaël Koné is Niçois. The 18-year-old midfielder has joined OGC Nice from the academy of former Aiglon Jean-Marc Guillou and will be part of the club’s Elite squad.
Born 30 December 2007, Ismaël is a box-to-box midfielder. Technical and able to get about the pitch, he has a real team focus to his game. “I’m very happy to join OGC Nice and start this new stage in my career. I know that I’m coming into a new environment with a different style of football. I want to work, improve and give my all for the club,” he said.
“Ismaël is a complete midfielder with very good technical qualities and a real capacity to play for others,” said Sporting Director Roger Ricort. “He has a very good attitude that corresponds with what we were looking for. He’s now going to have to adapt to the demands of European football, especially in terms of tactics. He’ll join the Elite squad where we’ll be able to support him as he progresses.”
“Ismaël is a young player with qualities and a lot of potential,” said President Maurice Cohen. “Our role is to give him the time and the right environment so he can take the next steps. We’re delighted to welcome him to Le Gym and to Nice.”
