After successive loan spells in Italy, Mattia Viti has completed a permanent move to Sampdoria, who finished 13th in Serie B last season.

Signed by Le Gym in the summer of 2022 from Empoli, the 24-year-old Italian central defender made 12 competitive appearances in Rouge et Noir, scoring one goal. His last match for Les Aiglons was away to Lorient, in Round 28 of the 2022-23 Ligue 1 season.

Since then, Mattia Viti enjoyed successive loans in his homeland: at Sassuolo in 2023-24, Empoli in 2024-25, Fiorentina for the first half of the 2025-26 campaign, before finishing last season at Sampdoria, where he now makes a permanent switch.
