Welcome Nathan Ngoumou!
OGC Nice is delighted to announce the arrival of Nathan Ngoumou (26 years old) from Borussia Mönchengladbach.
After coming through the Toulouse FC youth system, the Cameroon international (2 caps) has proven he can play across the front line, preferring the right-hand side where his explosiveness can be used best. He came to the fore in French football when he won the Ligue 2 title with TFC in 2021-2022.
Scoring eight goals and assisting another four during the season, many European teams were looking to sign him before he opted to go to the Bundesliga.
In ‘Gladbach, alongside some of the best players in Europe, he played a total of 78 matches, scoring nine goals along with five assists. “I am really motivated by the challenge that OGC Nice represents,” he said having returned to full fitness following an Achilles injury that ruined his 2025-2026 campaign. “I have recovered, I am fit and I feel ready to help the team. The more I train and play, the better I’ll perform. The discussions I’ve had with the coach and the club have been really good. I feel like everyone trusts me and that was a difference maker when I made my decision. OGC Nice has a quality squad, a big stadium and very good fans. I can’t wait to play, I think we’ll do some great things!”

Maurice Cohen, President of OGC Nice
“Nathan needs to jump start his career and we needed a forward like him. Not only does he have good footballing qualities, he also showed a great determination to join us, which facilitated his arrival. We will help him settle in as best we can, but I’m sure everything is here for him to feel at home. I welcome him and thank ‘Gladbach for working so well with us. “
Roger Ricort, OGC Nice Sporting Director
“We collated a lot of information about him before he arrived. His medical went well. Physically, Nathan kept himself in shape this summer and Nico Dyon (Head of Fitness), who he worked with in Germany, told us great things about him. He’s in good shape and is motivated to do well. He is capable of making a big difference, of scoring and helping others score. He’s a team player, a different profile to what we already had, and he also has a lot of experience.”
