Four out for Strasbourg

"It's rare to have four defenders who can't play, two centre-backs and two full-backs," said Christophe Galtier in Thursday's press conference when talking about his options for Saturday's league game at Strasbourg (kick-off 5pm CET).

Jean-Clair Todibo and Flavius Daniliuc are suspended while Jordan Amavi (twisted knee) and Youcef Atal (fractured collarbone) are sidelined by injury.

"I had anticipated it some time ago, some players had been getting to know the centre-back role. I know who is going to play centre-back, and the player concerned knows too," added the coach. "Generally, midfielders can drop back. Mario [Lemina] has played in defence with the national team, Pablo [Rosario] in European competition. For Danilo, I took some time to mull it over, because I needed to see him in that role. I worked with the video analysis to see how he was in that position. I know he has played 10-12 matches there, sometimes in a back three, other times a back four. He has the profile to play in that position."
