On Monday night, Christophe Galtier’s side’s cup win at the Parc des Princes was followed in large numbers across the country.

According to Médiamétrie – a French company that specialises in audience measurement – an average of 2.26m viewers (11.6% of the viewing population) witnessed Les Aiglons’ performance against Paris Saint-Germain.

The viewing figures were so high, in fact, that the broadcast – which was free-to-air on France 3 and available via subscription on Eurosport 2 – ranked as the second-highest TV audience of the evening.
