Aiglon of the match

JC Todibo bosses it

Having put in yet another immense display, Jean-Clair Todibo picks up the Aiglon of the Match award from the 1-0 win over Clermont.

Beyond his sheer numbers – 92 touches, 13 ball recoveries – JC Todibo exuded power and poise at the Stade Gabriel-Montpied. He could have even turned goalscorer on the half-hour mark, but his piledriver missed the target by a matter of inches as Clermont keeper Mory Diaw remained rooted to the spot. In the end, the centre-back was involved in the only goal of the game, sending a long ball forward to Jérémie Boga, who played the final pass before the assist in what was a slick team move.

With 37% of the votes, the France international sits ahead of Hicham Boudaoui (26%), who got himself on the scoresheet yet again on Friday – just three weeks after scoring the winning goal in the 1-0 victory away to Metz – as he finished off a similar move. This was the second goal of the season for the ‘Prince of Béchar’, whose contribution was highlighted by manager Francesco Farioli after the game.

Finally, after starting at right-back in Auvergne, Pablo Rosario completes the top three. The versatile Dutchman spared no effort, winning 83% of his duels.
