Rosario and Todibo distinguish themselves

With OGC Nice’s rearguard proving to be as impenetrable as ever, two members of the back four that were placed in front of Marcin Bułka in the 1-0 win away to Clermont on Friday have reaped their rewards in the French press.

After starting the game at right-back, Pablo Rosario features in L’Équipe’s team of the week for Matchday 10 of Ligue 1. The Dutchman, who came third in our Aiglon of the Match poll, earned himself a rating of 6/10 in the sports daily.

Staying with L’Équipe, Jean-Clair Todibo makes an appearance in the newspaper’s XI of the weekend’s standout French players. “Jean-Clair Todibo has been putting in a series of excellent performances of late, and his display in the 1-0 win away to Clermont proves this. The international, who has one cap to his name, was impeccable in his duels and wowed us with his long-range passing. The right-footer is comfortably in the running for the honorary title of ‘best centre-back in Ligue 1 so far this season’,” emphasised L’Équipe, who incidentally rank Todibo as the second-best outfield player of the campaign so far, with an average rating of 6.78/10 (just behind Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte 6.83/10).
