On Friday, for the game against Caen (7pm kick-off), the Allianz Riviera will welcome the Red and Black fans for one of the last times this season.

As the Aiglons prepare for the final stretch of their 2016/17 campaign, the fixtures couldn’t be more equal. During the next 10 matches, Lucien Favre’s side will pull on their home strip as many times as they pull on their away.

Spoilt for over a year (16 victories and 3 draws), Nice fans don’t have too many more opportunities this year to come and be entertained: you can count them on one hand. Just one fixture will take place in March against Caen, before a month of April in which the Aiglons will need to negotiate the visits of Bordeaux and then Nancy, before culminating in the clash against Paris. Finally, the Allianz Riviera will don its party hat for its final home game of this season against Angers in mid-May.

2ND GREATEST ATTENDANCE AVERAGE IN ITS HISTORY

Until now, the people of Nice have not disappointed, obtaining an average attendance of 22 000 people per game (a figure which could grow even more during this final push). And why not go on to establish a new record, in a season that has already smashed so many (the highest was achieved during the first season at the Allianz Riviera with an average of 24 186 spectators per match). This would constitute a just reward for the Aiglons who have come on leaps and bounds on the pitch.
