Nice 2-0 Lille
The 86th minute, a symbol
Nice, 8:43pm CET Wednesday evening. Just as at every home game, when the clock ticks over to the 86th minute, the Allianz Arena’s screens stopped showing the game and displayed a heart formed of the 86 names of the victims of the 14 July 2016 attack. Thousands of mobile phone lights came on with the away fans from Lille also joining in. While the team’s momentum against Lyon had been interrupted, this time the voices got louder, and on the pitch Le Gym went forward. When Jansson scored his first goal for the club, the stadium was still lit by the fans' mobile phones in an incredibly symbolic moment.
