Mattia Viti has been loaned out to US Sassuolo Calcio for the 2023–24 season with an option to buy.

Having joined Nice last summer, the 21-year-old is set for a second spell in Serie A this season with I Neroverdi, who achieved a league position of 13th at the end of the previous campaign.

The Italy under-21 international is returning to his home country to earn more game time and to continue his development. Incidentally, at Sassuolo, he will play under Alessio Dionisi, who handed him his professional debut at Empoli, the club where the left-footed centre-back was developed.

Last season, Viti made 12 appearances for Les Aiglons, scoring one goal – a header – against Troyes at the Allianz Riviera.
