Aiglon of the match

A first for Ndayishimiye!

Youssouf Ndayishimiye, who scored his first goal for OGC Nice, is your Aiglon of the match from the game between the Gym and Nantes (2-2). He won 39% of the votes, ahead of Terem Moffi and Hicham Boudaoui.

A little recognition despite the disappointment. Youssouf Ndayishimiye's performance in the match against FC Nantes (2-2), despite a late equaliser and a cruel draw, was of the highest quality. He left his mark on this Ligue 1 matchday 27 game. The versatile Gym defender was superb at the back (winning the ball five times and losing none) and equally good when he played as a defensive midfielder, becoming the first Burundian player to score in the French top flight. This first goal for Nice, coupled with a high quality overall performance, led you to name Youssouf your Aiglon of the match - a first - with 39% of the votes.

Not far behind, Terem Moffi took second place with 26% of the votes. The Nigerian, who scored early on in the fifth minute, set the tone for a high-level outing: clear-cut chances (three created), holding onto the ball, helping his team-mates (five recoveries)... the Super Eagle added a second assist to his 15th league goal. After the pass to Khephren Thuram at the Louis-II, Moffi delivered the second goal on a plate to Youssouf, showing his team spirit.

Finally, the podium is completed by the Prince of Bechar. Once again, Hicham Boudaoui was the star of the midfield and caught the eye of 19% of Gym fans. The Algerian's clean passing, forward runs were all worthy of his coach Didier Digard’s words, who said before the match that he "doesn't see a ceiling (for him)".
