Squad

Schneiderlin, Dolberg, Danilo, Daniliuc, Atal, ACM: the coach speaks

Christophe Galtier gave an overview of his squad ahead of Sunday's Ligue 1 game with Lorient (kick-off 1pm CEST).

The coach started with positive news for Morgan Schneiderlin, who has been sidelined since the 20 March trip to Marseille: "Morgan can start. He's fit, he's recovered from his calf strain. He was a little bit ill at the start of the week. He's trained normally for the last three, four days." And more good news: "Kasper trained normally from Wednesday. He looks to be in good shape."

There's still doubts over two defenders, however: "Danilo has adductor pain, and there's a big doubt over Daniliuc, who has pain in an ankle. He took a knock on the ankle in training this week and this morning [Friday] it was still painful. He didn't train. We'll give him a fitness test tomorrow."

The coach also provided an update on Youcef Atal, who had to go off against Lens: "He had an operation on his shoulder on Wednesday morning. They've put a plate and a screw in. He's out for the rest of the season." And finally, "Alexis Claude-Maurice (who is also out for the rest of the season) has had surgery on his ankle to remove the plate and screws that had been put in."
