All the key stats from the 2-0 win at Nantes

A closer look at some of headline stats from the 2-0 win at Nantes on Matchday 5 of Ligue 1, including yet another clean sheet, a 20th Nice goal for Amine Gouiri, Andy Delort's successful debut and a pair of winning runs.

LE GYM BOAST THE BEST DEFENCE IN EUROPE!

Thanks to an accomplished performance in defence, an unbeatable goalkeeper in Walter Benitez and "a bit of luck", according to coach Galtier, OGC Nice recorded a fourth consecutive clean sheet during the 2-0 victory at Nantes. After 360 minutes in Ligue 1, Le Gym have yet to concede a single goal, and the club's Argentinian keeper has saved 100% of the shots he has faced.

Across Europe's top five leagues, Nice are the only team yet to concede a goal. In Ligue 1, meanwhile, the last side to begin the season with the same record were Paris in 2015/16. This is also just the second time Les Aiglons have kicked off with four clean sheets, matching the 1959/60 campaign.

SWEET 16 FOR GOUIRI

Scorer of Nice's second goal at Nantes – and his fourth of the season - Amine Gouiri has now been involved in 16 Ligue 1 goals in 2021 (11 goals, five assists). That is the highest total in the French elite this calendar year for any player born after 1 January 2000.

FIRST GAME, FIRST ASSIST FOR DELORT

Brought on in the 78th minute away to Nantes, Andy Delort made a quick impact for Les Rouge et Noir. The Algerian international proved decisive with his first touch, delivering an assist to Amine Gouiri. With that, the newcomer became the first player to serve up an assist on his debut for Le Gym in Ligue 1 since Hassane Kamara on 23 August 2020 (against Lens).

ONE MORE WIN, TWO RUNS EXTENDED

By coming out on top at La Beaujoire, OGC Nice managed to keep two winning runs alive. Firstly, the victory was the club's third in a row in Ligue 1 (after beating Lille and Bordeaux).

That represents the team's longest winning sequence since October-November 2018 (four straight wins). Secondly, the result made it three successive away victories for Le Gym, including the trip to Lyon at the end of last season – a first since September-October 2015.
