Favre: 'We controlled it well'

Lucien, a great evening for your team!
It was a good match against a side who are very aggressive with their pressing. At the beginning of the match, we needed to stay calm and play faster to avoid having the ball stolen - they have players who are very good at breaking up play. We made it 1-0 pretty quickly, and then 2-0 from a long ball. We pushed on, as we wanted to bag another to make sure of the result. A 3-0 scoreline is good.

Your goals were well constructed, but in a style that we haven’t seen that much from Le Gym before…
We're working hard in training. But it's the players who make the choices. You have to know how to play long when the situation calls for it. Sustematically playing a short passing game is not the ideal solution.

Was this match against Toulouse your most accomplished of the season?
That's hard to say. I don't think so but we did control it well. We kept playing after we scored the first two goals. Things can move quickly in a match. This Toulouse side have a good backbone. They beat PSG without Braithwaite, Durmaz and Trejo. Tonight they were missing several names in defence. I would have liked us to play a bit higher at times.

What can we expect for the match against Krasnodar?
We'll be taking the match very seriously, as we have done so far even though it hasn't worked out for us in the Europa League. Of course, there will be some changes in our line-up. We have a couple of lads who have been playing every match for a little while and we need to be careful with them. Because up next we have Paris, and then we have a game every three days, against Bordeaux, Dijon and then Bordeaux again.

Next Sunday, it's PSG-Nice at the Parc des Princes…
We're thrilled to be heading to the Parc. It will be a very important match… just like the ones that come after it! You know, I say it every time, but we take each match as it comes (laughs), so first of all we're focused on Krasnodar. At the Parc, it will be a great game to play. It's Paris, after all! Balotelli? I don't yet know whether he will be fit. The important thing will be the balance of our team.
