There was plenty of concern when Laurent Abergel was forced off the pitch after just 17 minutes of Saturday’s preseason friendly away to Cagliari.

The medical tests undertaken over the weekend confirmed the diagnosis: our midfielder has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

OGC Nice will do everything necessary over the coming months to ensure the player makes a full recovery and comes back stronger than ever.
