As the professional squad arrived for the first day of preseason training, Olivier Pantaloni took part in his first press conference as head coach of OGC Nice. On this auspicious occasion, the tactician was accompanied by President Cohen and Sporting Director Roger Ricort.

And itw as an extra special occasion, not without a certain emotion, as the media room has been named after the recently departed Eric Roy.

Having passed away at just 58 years of age, the former OGCN midfielder, who held a number of different roles over the years at Le Gym, will now and forever more be a permanent presence for Les Aiglons, the club’s employees and all those that frequent the training centre.

It’s a tribute that honours the memory of a man that loved the city of Nice, as well as Le Gym, and left an indelible mark at the club that will always be his club and that of his family.
