Preseason begins for Les Aiglons
On Wednesday, the first-team squad returned to the training ground to begin their preseason. After a group breakfast, Les Aiglons began their various fitness tests, which will continue on Thursday.
After addressing the squad, President Cohen, Sporting Director Roger Ricort and new head coach Olivier Pantaloni took part in their first joint press conference.
Finally, the resumption of team training is scheduled for Friday. It will take place without Gabin Bernardeau, who is set to leave the club. Here are the players expected to be on the pitch:
Goalkeepers: Teddy Boulhendi, Martin Ponsot
Defenders: Melvin Bard, Jonathan Clauss, Hamza Koutoune, Brad Mantsounga, Youssouf Ndayishimiye, Mattia Viti
Midfielders: Laurent Abergel, Salis Abdul Samed, Issiaga Camara, Djibril Coulibaly, Rares Ilie, Tom Louchet, Junior Mandza, Everton, Morgan Sanson
Forwards: Mohamed-Ali Cho, Zoumana Diallo, Sofiane Diop, Isak Jansson, Kevin Carlos, Nassim Laarej, Terem Moffi, Victor Orakpo
The international players who were at the World Cup – Ali Abdi, Yéhvann Diouf, Antoine Mendy, Kojo Peprah Oppong, Moïse Bombito, Mohamed Abdelmonem and Hicham Boudaoui – will, for their part, return to training during the course of July.
Several departures
After a magnificent decade at the Gym, Dante hung up his boots this summer to begin a coaching career in charge of Bayern Munich’s U23s.
Since the start of the summer transfer window, three players have been transferred:
- Charles Vanhoutte to Feyenoord
- Jeremie Boga to Juventus
- Aliou Baldé to St Gallen
With their contracts having expired, Tanguy Ndombele, Maxime Dupé, Bartosz Zelazowski, Kaïl Boudache, Tiago Gouveia, Elye Wahi and Juma Bah have also left OGC Nice, who wish them every success in their future careers.
