League table
The scenarios for the final matchday
With a three-point lead over their hosts at kick-off, OGC Nice have now been overtaken in the league table by AJ Auxerre on goal difference (-12 compared to -23) following their defeat at the Abbé-Deschamps (2-1).

Before the final matchday next Sunday, Claude Puel’s men no longer control their own destiny. To move back ahead of AJA, they will need to achieve a better result against FC Metz at the Allianz Riviera than Auxerre do away at Lille (3rd, and only one point ahead of Lyon in 4th and two ahead of Rennes in 5th).
Beaten at home by Marseille (0-1), Le Havre AC are not yet safe either. Didier Digard’s side hold just a one-point advantage over Auxerre and Nice before their trip to Lorient (9th) on the 34th and final matchday.
The team finishing in 16th place will take part in a relegation play-off to remain in Ligue 1, against the team emerging from the Ligue 2 play-offs (Saint-Étienne, Rodez, or Red Star).
NICE STAY UP IF…
- Le Gym beat Metz and Auxerre or Le Havre fail to win
- Le Gym draw against Metz and Auxerre lose at Lille
