First professional contract for Everton
Le Gym is delighted to announce Everton has signed his first professional contract with the club, an important step for a young player who is a symbol of the work accomplished by the Red-and-Black Youth Academy.
Son of iconic midfielder Everson, who was recruited by Maurice Cohen in 2002, Everton joined the Gym's football school aged 5. He has climbed the ranks thanks to his commitment, constant progress and attitude. This first professional contract at 18 years old is a reward for all he has done over the course of those seasons and shows the faith the club has in him for the future.
When he signed his contract, Everton shared his emotions:
"It's a very important moment for me. I'm very proud to sign my first professional contract with OGC Nice. When you start playing football, you dream of this moment. It's the result of many years of work. I want to thank the club for the faith they are showing in me today. I also want to thank my coaches, the staff and all the people who have helped me since I started here. I also want to thank my family and my loved ones, who have always supported me and encouraged me."

The signature comes shortly after the young player sustained an injury in training that has ended his season early. It is a situation that changes nothing regarding the Gym's belief in his potential and the place he can have in the future of the Red-and-Black project.

"The fact the club has shown faith in me at this time means a lot to me. It motivates me even more to work and give everything to show that I deserve that faith. This contract is an important step, but it's just the start. I still have to work a lot to improve."
The whole club wishes him a full and speedy recovery and is looking forward to being alongside him as he takes the next steps in his career.
