Les Aiglons to travel to Lorient in quarters

OGC Nice have been drawn away to Lorient in the quarter-finals of this season’s Coupe de France.

After defeating AS Saint-Etienne 2-1 in the Rd-64, then Nantes (1-1, 5-3 on pens.) in the Rd-32, and Montpellier 3-2 in Wednesday last-16 clash, Le Gym will again be away, this time to the Stade de le Moustoir in the first week of March (either Tuesday 3, Wednesday 4 or Thursday 5 March).

Les Aiglons lost 3-1 on their last visit to Lorient on 30 November in Ligue 1. Les Merlus currently sit ninth in Ligue 1 and are undefeated in their last 12 matches. In the previous rounds of the Cup, they defeated AS Le Gosier (0-7), Les Hauts Lyonnais (1-3) before a 2-0 home win over fellow Ligue 1 side Paris FC in the last-16.

Before travelling to Brittany for the Coupe de France quarter-final, the two sides will also meet at Allianz Riviera, for their Ligue 1 clash on 22 February.
