This allowed them to take a 7-point lead over their hosts, who were also their closest rivals before the weekend. It also allowed them to move up to 13th place in Ligue 1, with 21 points.

As they finish their European campaign in Bulgaria on Thursday against Ludogorets, Les Aiglons will then host the team ranked just above them on Sunday: Brest, who beat them 4-1 earlier in the season.

Now within touching distance of Claude Puel's men (they are just one point ahead), the Bretons (12th) just lost to Toulouse (0-2).

A new battle for the Rouge et Noir against a direct rival, this time with the support of a large crowd expected in Nice on Sunday (5:15pm) at the Allianz Riviera, where they have just enjoyed two cup victories (St Etienne and Go Ahead Eagles) and a promising draw against Strasbourg in the league.
