Jonathan Clauss extends contract to 2028

Having joined OGC Nice last season, Jonathan Clauss is set to extend his stay on the Côte d’Azur.

OGC Nice is delighted to announce that France international Jonathan Clauss has extended his contract at the club until June 2028. This decision, which was confirmed last November, illustrates a sense of mutual trust as well as a desire to look towards the future with the help of an experienced player who has established himself as one of the best in Ligue 1 in his position over the course of his career (see below).

The 33-year-old enjoyed a successful first campaign with Les Rouge et Noir from a statistical point of view – with three goals and seven assists to his name across all competitions – and played a major part in Le Gym’s fourth-place finish in the French top flight. Despite the trickier circumstances of the last few months for the squad, Clauss intends to “fully commit to the group in order to continue the work that had been started and to turn things around”. “I’d like to show my desire and my determination,” the full-back added. “Le Gym deserves better, the team deserves better, and I believe that wholeheartedly.”
