The day after the draw, UEFA released the schedule for the Europa League league phase. Les Aiglons will host AS Roma in the opening match on Wednesday 24 September (9pm), before two consecutive away trips to Turkey and then Spain.

WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF THE COMPETITION?

It will be the same as last season. Each club faces 8 different opponents during the league phase (4 at home and 4 away). A league table of the 36 teams will be drawn up after these 8 matches, according to the following model:

• The top 8 teams qualify directly for the Round of 16.

• Teams finishing 9th to 24th will play a play-off round.

• Teams finishing 25th to 36th are eliminated.
