MATCH SCHEDULE AND TICKETING
1st leg at home
Franck Haise's men will host Benfica in the first leg, scheduled for Tuesday 5th or Wednesday 6th August (date to be confirmed). Ticket sales for this first leg will open on Thursday 24th July (sign up for ticketing alerts to make sure you don't miss out). The return leg is scheduled to take place at the Estadio da Luz on Tuesday 12th August.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OUR OPPONENTS
A heavyweight on the continental stage, Benfica finished the 2024-25 season in 2nd place in the league with 80 points, behind Sporting (82). All the while, they were beaten in the Portuguese Cup final by the same historic rivals (1-3 after extra time).

Benfica reached the last 16 of the last Champions League, where they were eliminated by Barcelona (0-1, 1-3). They also reached the last 16 of the Club World Cup, where they were beaten by Chelsea (1-4 after extra time). In the wake of that competition, the squad lost Angel Di Maria, who returned to Argentina.
Before Benfica start their league season against Rio Ave on the weekend of 10th August, they will play in the Portuguese Supercup against... Sporting on 31st July.
