Belahyane moves to Hellas Verona

Midfielder Reda Belahyane has today left OGC Nice to complete a move to Hellas Verona FC.

Having joined Le Gym in 2019, the 19-year-old midfielder now departs for I Gialloblù, who currently sit 18th in Serie A. The Aubervilliers native and INF Clairefontaine graduate signed his first professional contract with Les Aiglons in June 2021, before earning his first-team debut in early 2023.

Belahyane racked up a total of eight top-flight appearances with Le Gym, including two this season against Auxerre and Rennes. “I’d like to thank OGC Nice for all of these wonderful years,” the player announced before heading to Italy. “My thoughts go out to my youth coaches, to everyone who has supported me and to all of my managers. Both as a person and as a player, I’ve spent some amazing years at Nice, and I’d also like to thank the club for allowing me to join Hellas Verona. It was an opportunity that I didn’t want to pass up, and the club’s executives understood that. Good luck to OGC Nice for the rest of the season as well as for the future, and Issa Nissa!
