Dave Brailsford: “The final stage arriving in Nice only strengthens our desire to establish ourselves here”

The day after the announcement that the Tour de France 2024 will finish in Nice, Dave Brailsford, Ineos' Director of Sport, expressed his happiness in the columns of Nice-Matin. The Ineos-Grenadiers will “be racing at home”, he delighted.

HIS REACTION

"It's immense. We couldn't have dreamt of anything better. It highlights the incredible attractiveness of Nice. I am very proud to live on the Côte d’Azur, to have ties here and also to represent OGC Nice. In 2024, Ineos-Grenadiers will be racing at home, it's the dream.  Because we already know that the Niçois will be behind us. Our relationship with them is very strong. It's our greatest source of pride."

THE HAPPINESS OF BEING IN NICE

"We were with Jim Ratcliffe in Qatar over the last few hours. Everyone is talking about Nice. This is the place to be. He was very proud. It's so beautiful to be able to experience this at home. It's so rare in life, this is the heart speaking here. I also want to take this opportunity to express my incredible respect for Christian Estrosi. We have great common projects. When you love sport, he is the dream mayor. Ineos want to invest in the region. The final stage of the Tour arriving in Nice only strengthens our desire to establish ourselves here”

INEOS’ AMBITIONS

We believe in our riders. 2024 will become our priority. It will be an exceptional year for sport in France with the Olympic Games. We are also working hard to grow OGC Nice and be at our best in 2024. Our motivation has never been so high, nor our pride.
