As the Aiglons prepare to play their first friendly of the summer against Cercle Bruges, Saturday 9 July marks the anniversary of OGC Nice. The red and black club, born in 1904, is celebrating its 118th anniversary. 

118 years ago, a "new club", the "Gymnase - Club", was launched in the St-Pierre district. Who could have believed, at the time, that this "new club" would become a way of life for entire generations of Nice residents? That 118 years later, its history would be celebrated, along with its elders, its legends, its heroes? Who would have thought that even in the darkest hours, it would never give up, like the city it represents?  

118 years later, this new club has grown up but never aged. Better still, it looks as young as ever, from summer to summer, with the future ahead of it. Happy birthday to the Gym!
