When the Red-and-Black get their noses in front this season — as OPTA have highlighted — they are very very difficult to beat, and they can also turn around a seemingly lost cause.

When they go in front, just try and catch them. Les Aiglons have now not lost any of the last 27 league games in which they have scored the first goal, winning 21 of those matches.

For the last time they lost having scored first, you have to go all the way back to February 2020 when — following Alexis Claude-Maurice's sixth-minute opener — they condeded three times to Nîmes at the Allianz Riviera. It's a lesson they have clearly learned very well.

The 2021/22 vintage certainly has something about them. Against Lyon, Angers, Clermont and Lens, Christophe Galtier's side went behind, but they have managed to pick up 13 points after being 1-0 down, a tally bettered only by Paris Saint-Germain (17) in the league.
