Le Gym plays their final preseason match this Saturday, 15 August at 16:00 CET against Hull City. Here are 5 to know about the match!

Hull City earned their place in the Premier League after claiming sixth in the Championship on the final day of the season. How? By going on a crazy run in the play-offs! The Tigers eliminated Millwall first off in the semi-final (2-0 in the second leg after a scoreless draw first up), before beating Middlesbrough 1-0 in the final at Wembley. Oli McBurnie scored the winning goal in stoppage time, booking Hull City’s place in the English top flight for the 2026-27 campaign.

Sergej Jakirovic’s side begin their Premier League season on Saturday 22 August at home to Manchester United. 

The same day, Le Gym host Lorient in their L1 opener (20:45 – behind closed doors).

Hatem Ben Arfa

Before enchanting Le Gym and its supporters in the 2015-16 season where Les Aiglons finished fourth on the back of his outstanding performances (18 goals, 7 assists), Hatem Ben Arfa played for Hull City, making 9 appearances for the Tigers in 2014.

Mika Seri

Another incredible player to have played for both clubs was Mika Seri. After three great seasons with OGC Nice (123 matches, 12 goals), Mika Seri joined Fulham in the Summer of 2018. After spells with Galatasaray and Bordeaux, the Cote d’Ivoire midfielder joined Hull City for two seasons. He quickly became an important player for the Tigers making 77 appearances between 2022 and 2024 (2 goals, 6 assists), in the Championship.
