Who will be your Crédit Agricole Young Player of the Year?

After the Aiglon of the Year 2020-21, OGC Nice supporters now have the opportunity to vote for their Crédit Agricole PCA Young Player of the Year.

This season, 9 players line up on the starting line. All players born in 1999 or after, who played at least ten times this season feature in the race.

The rules of the vote mean that Amine Gouiri cannot feature after he was already crowned Crédit Agricole Aiglon of the Year. As the clear favourite for the award, the 20-year old forward clears the way for several other serious contenders, including five defenders.

Both arriving in the winter transfer window, William Saliba and Jean-Clair Todibo each appear. Since January, the two men started match after match in the heart of the defence (22 matches for Saliba, 17 for Todibo) and stabilised the back line after Dante's injury. Solid defensively, the two Frenchmen also shone in attack, with each of them picking up a goal during the second half of the season.

Another defender to get on the scoresheet (at Rennes, 1-2), Flavius Daniliuc boasted a promising first season at the club. Arriving from Bayern, the Austrian was involved in his first season with the first team and put in solid performance after solid performance, between the middle of the defence and right back.

With 24 appearances to his name, Andy Pelmard also played in several positions this season. Starting on 14 occasions, the product of Le Gym's academy had a busy February, playing five matches and impressing at the Parc des Princes against Kylian Mbappé.

Used on 19 occasions as a starter, Stanley Nsoki played 24 matches in his second season on the Côte d’Azur. Used to playing on the left of the defence, the former Parisian also showed his quality in the middle of a back three.

Thuram and Boudaoui in the running

In midfield, we find two runners, both of whom are serious contenders: Khephren Thuram and Hicham Boudaoui. A regular this season (33 matches), the former shone both in a box-to-box role and in front of the defence. Particularly impressive in the derby against Marseille (3-0), the France U20 international also got his first two goals for the first team in the league.

Crowned Young Player of the Year 2019-20 and finishing third in the Aiglon of the Year this season, Hicham Boudaoui looks to make it two awards on the trot. Often used in front of the defence, the Algerian international made 29 appearances and impressed in many of them. He scored 3 goals and picked up 3 assists.

It's two forwards that complete the casting. With 25 appearances to his name, Myziane proved himself an important element of the Nice attack. Starting on 15 occasions across all competitions, the youngster born in February 1999 scored three goals and got one assist.

Finally, Dan Ndoye showed promise in his first season in France. With Nice, the forward got his first taste of the Europa League and saw himself called up to the Swiss first team for the first time this summer. Seen on 34 occasions, the former Lausanne man score three goals and picked up one assist.
