Pierre Lees-Melou joins Norwich

OGC Nice and Norwich City have reached an agreement over the transfer of Pierre Lees-Melou. The midfielder, who arrived at the club in 2017, leaves the Gym for the Premier League after 140 games for the Rouge et Noir in all competitions.

He started his career at Nice on a Champions League evening at the Allianz Riviera. Starting against Ajax Amsterdam in the Champions League play-offs, Pierre Lees-Melou played the first of his 140 games with the Gym. Four years later, the 28-year-old midfielder is preparing to take on a new challenge in his career. After six professional seasons in France, Lees-Melou will take on the Premier League with Norwich City. First in the Championship last season, the Canaries will return to English football's elite in 2021-2022 after a one-year absence.

Arriving in Nice in 2017 after two full seasons in Dijon playing in Ligue 2 and Ligue 1, "PLM" quickly settled into the Côte d'Azur midfield playing 47 matches in 2017-2018. In the Rouge et Noir, Lees-Melou scored 18 goals and provided 16 assists. He also wore the captain's armband on numerous occasions, the first time in the derby against Monaco in November 2020.

OGC Nice would like to thank Pierre for the professionalism he has shown during his four seasons at the club and wishes him all the best in the Premier League.
