Medical update before the Lorient game

Danilo is back, Rony Lopes still has to wait and Youcef Atal is on the right track — the latest from the treatment room ahead of Sunday's game against Lorient (kick-off 3pm CET).

'RONY'S NOT QUITE THERE YET'

"The game comes too soon for Rony," Adrian Ursea explained in Friday's press conference about the Portuguese attacking midfielder, who was injured against Marseille on 17 February. "His return had been scheduled for this game against Lorient, even if he wasn't going to start. But there's still some fragility, and given the work we've done, we don't want to take the risk. We hope he'll be 100% by next week."

DANILO BACK

Danilo should, however, be back in the squad. The Brazilian, who turned 25 on 28 February, hasn't played since 13 December. "We are getting Danilo back," said the coach. "We know his ability to play in midfield or the defence. He's a promising solution."

'ATAL'S SITUATION IS PROGRESSING'

After remarking that Kasper Dolberg "continues improving and fine-tuning his physical condition," Adrian Ursea turned to Youcef Atal, who had been expected to be out 3-4 weeks. "There has been some progress in his situation. Youcef is putting himself back together physically. He's doing gym work and has started running already. He won't be available on Sunday. Will he be available next week? We hope so. We will assess the situation after training and we'll work on the basis of how Youcef feels and medial advice. We're working with him in the hope that he'll be back a little bit sooner than initially expected."
