Nice 1-1 Lille

Crédit Agricole Aiglon of the match: Dolberg rewarded

With 69.3% of the fans' votes, Kasper Dolberg was named Crédit Agricole Aiglon of the Match following the 1-1 draw against Lille on Sunday. The Nice goalscorer came home ahead of Alexis Claude-Maurice and Dante.

His technical quality in the first touch, his strength to hold off the defender, and his finesse to beat the goalkeeper were all in evidence for Kasper Dolberg's third league goal of the season and his first at home. The Denmark international was at the sharp end of a team move started by Morgan Schneiderlin's pass and that also involved Rony Lopes and Alexis Claude-Maurice, who provided the assist.

"Available," was how coach Patrick Vieira described last season's leading scorer as he flourished alongside Rony Lopes and Claude Maurice. "We adjusted the position of Rony and Alexis to give him more support," the coach added. All three were involved in the goal, which was the first scored from open play against the best defence in the league this season.

'ACM' AND DANTE NECK-AND-NECK

There were just a handful of votes between Claude-Maurice and Dante for the podium places. The former, who also scored in the Europa League in midweek, just came home in front.

The former Lorient man caused the opposition defence serious difficulties, and was fouled four times, only Dolberg suffered more (5).

Again employed in a three-man backline along with Stanley Nsoki and Robson Bambu, Dante enjoyed the most touches (92) and completed the most passes of anyone on the pitch (75.93%). Solid at the back, the Brazilian also managed two shots at goal.
