2021-22

Fixtures: 3 home games in August!

This Friday, the LFP unveiled the fixture list for the 2021-22 Ligue 1 season. Check out what awaits Les Aiglons.

A home game versus Reims to begin

OGC Nice will start the season at home to Stade de Reims. The match will take place on the weekend of 8 August. The last time the two clubs met was on 11 April this year, when they played to a 0-0 draw at the Allianz Riviera.
Les Rémois, now managed by Oscar Garcia, resumed training on Thursday 24 June, while the Aiglons will be back on the pitch this Monday.
In a mirror image, Nice will end their season in Reims on 21 May.
It should be noted that the Aiglons will spend most of August at home, since they play three games out of four at Allianz Riviera. The only away game will be to defending champions Lille on Matchday 2 on the weekend of 15 August.

A first derby on 22 August!

Fans won't have to wait long for the first derby of the season. On Matchday 3, in the middle of summer, Le Gym will host OM on the weekend of 22 August!
On 19 September, Les Rouge et Noir host their principality neighbours Monaco to Allianz Riviera, as part of Matchday 6.
They will then travel to the Stade Velodrome at the end of March (MD29 - Sunday 20 March) and to the Stade Louis-II on Wednesday 20 April (MD33).

PSG visit in early March

While the first half of the season will end at home against Lens (MD19 - 22 Dec.) and the second half will start in Brest (MD20 - 09 Jan.), Les Aiglons will meet the Parisians in early December (on the weekend of the 1st). They will host them at the beginning of March (6th), when spring will be in full bloom in 'nouostra capitala.'

4 doubles and a busy April

Like the other clubs in the top flight, Les Rouge et Noir have four 'doubles' in the season (4 x two matches at home or away in a row). The first of these will take place in August, when they host Marseille (MD3, 22/08) and Bordeaux (MD4 - 29/08).
In September, Les Azureens have back to back road trips to Lorient (MD7 - 22/09) and Saint-Etienne (MD8, 26/09).
The first double of the second half of the season will take place in March when Nice will travel consecutively to Montpellier (MD28 - 13/03) and Marseille (MD29 - 20/03).
The busiest month in L1 will be April, with five matches on the menu.
