The votes are in, they’ve been counted, we now know the results and now it’s time to announce the Top 3 in the election of the 2020-21 Crédit Agricole Aiglon of the Year. Coming home in third position, you elected Hicham Boudaoui, with 9 % of the votes.

Building on the success of being named last season’s Young player of the Year and with his undeniable talent, Hicham Boudaoui climbs onto the first step of the podium with the bronze medal around his neck. In a season hampered by several injuries, the Prince of Bechar still showed what he can do, highlighted by some man of the match performances against Lens and Rennes. After starting the season on the wing, he slowly moved into a more central position, improving with each and every outing, whether it be sitting in front of the defence or in central midfield.

In his defensive midfield role, a new position for him this term, his tireless work-rate and neat and tidy technique were a precious addition to Les Rouge et Noir engine room. A little higher up the pitch, those same qualities coupled with a little more freedom of expression saw him regularly making the difference. 

With 29 appearances this season, the Algeria international scored three goals and provided three assists.
