Trophées UNFP

Gouiri nominated for young player of the year award

OGC Nice’s top goal scorer and top assist provider with two game sleft to play this season (12 goals and 6 assists in L1 / 16 and 7 in all competitions), Amine Gouiri has been nominated for the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award.

The Aiglons forward is up against Eduardo Camavinga (Rennes), Sofiane Diop (Monaco), Aurélien Tchouaméni (Monaco) and Maxence Caqueret (Lyon).

Like in every category, the nominees were chosen, and will be awarded, by their peers.

Due to the current global pandemic, the Trophées de l’UNFP, or end of season awards, organised by the Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionnels in association with CANAL+, beIN SPORTS, the LFP and the FFF, will not be celebrated in an official ceremony, ‘but will see the winners of the various categories crowned in a number of different events, from Saturday 15 May 2021 for the Ligue 2 BKT and from Thursday 20 May 2021 for the Ligue 1 Uber Eats,’ stated the official statement.
