Schedule

Le Gym’s busy schedule until the festive period

Originally scheduled for Saturday 21 November, the return to competitive football was delayed for Les Aiglons. Following the postponement of the derby, it’s not until next Thursday that Patrick Vieira’s side will be back out on the pitch. As they head out to take on Slavia Prague in the Europa League (kick-off at 9pm), Les Aiglons will begin their final sprint of the calendar year, which will take place in frenetic conditions. A total of 9 matches in less than one month will take Les Niçois through to Christmas and the winter break. Six home matches and three away trips are on the cards. In 27 days.

3 homes matches to kick-off

It’s on home soil that Pierre Lees-Melou and his teammates will begin their bumper schedule. The Allianz Riviera will have its lights on on three occasions in just eight days.

The visit of Dijon (Matchday 12, Sunday 29 November, 5pm) will be flanked by two crucial Europa League clashes. Against Slavia Prague (Matchday 4, Thursday 26 November, 9pm) then Bayer Leverkusen (Thursday 3 December, 9pm).

Two away trips and an outcome

After these three matches in the capital of the Côte d’Azur, OGC Nice will be on the road on two occasions. Firstly to the Stade Auguste-Delaune in Reims (Matchday 13 of Ligue 1, Sunday 6 December, 5pm) before setting off for Israel for the first time in the club’s history. It’s against Hapoël Beer-Sheva that Le Gym will bring their Europa League group stage to a close (Thursday 10 December, 6.55pm).

Four Ligue 1 encounters before Christmas

Les Azuréens’ calendar year will end with four league matches in 10 days. Three at home and one on the road, a series of matches that will take Les Aiglons up to Matchday 17.

This Ligue 1 marathon will begin with Rennes (Sunday 13 December, 1pm) before a mid-week match against Nîmes (Tuesday or Wednesday). Finally, Patrick Vieira’s squad will bring 2020 to a close at home against Lyon (weekend of 19 December) and then against Lorient during the following week.
