Cyprien loaned to Parma

Wylan Cyprien has been loaned, with option to buy, to Italian side Parma for the 2020-21 season.

Since the start of the summer, the player has been working hard to get back to his best following injury in a Coupe de France match against Lyon in February. Wylan Cyprien will now have the chance to show all his talent in the Italian Serie A. Eleventh last season, Parma are a prestigious and ambitious club that returned to the top flight in 2018 after a difficult period in which the club declared bankruptcy before being relegated to the fourth division in 2015. Wylan will play under coach Liverani and in the company of several former Ligue 1 players sich as Gervinho, Karamoh and Cornelius.

After joining Nice in 2016, Wylan Cyprien played a major role in the side that ended the 2016-17 campaign in third place in Ligue 1, despite a serious knee injury that kept him sidelined for 10 months.

A versatile player, capable of playing in front of the defence, box to box or as a playmaker, he returned to the pitch and quickly rediscovered his influence in midfield.

In four seasons with Nice, he made 109 appearances, scoring 23 goals and providing 12 assists.

Having emerged from the Lens youth academy, Parma will be Wylan’s third professional club.

OGC Nice wishes him every success.
