On Monday, as part of the ‘Au coeur des clubs’ show on Téléfoot, Jean-Pierre Rivère discussed the latest around Wylan Cyprien and Adrien Tameze.

“They both are players who have the green light to leave and it was planned that they will leave this summer and that is still the case.“ reminded the President of OGC Nice. “We have agreements with our players especially for the first two years whereby we don’t generally allow them to leave, and then we can open doors. For these two players, we have opened the doors for a transfer this summer and we are working on that. Either we find a club that works for them on the one hand and on the other, one that works for us financially, in that case they will leave, if not they will stay with us.”

Jean-Pierre Rivère then went on to discuss the summer transfer window that will close in early October this year: ”The transfer window comes later than usual. We were lucky that with our owners we were able to start very early on in terms of arrivals, which allowed us to work on the relationships between the new arrivals and the squad. But for those leaving, we have to allow the window to take shape. We will see what happens. Once again, be it Adrien or Wylan, they are both top quality players. We have no problem with them and we think a lot of them.“
