Speaking at the traditional pre-match press conference ahead of Bordeaux vs Nice (kick-off 17:00 on Sunday), Patrick Vieira gave an update on the squad’s two injured players Youcef Atal (knee) and Wylan Cyprien (hamstring). 

“Youcef is following the program we put in place,” explained the coach. “He is working individually with the physios and hasn’t resumed running yet. We have to be patient. When will he be back? I don’t know. It all depends on how he progresses. We will not set a date for his return? He needs to continue to work and see how his knee reacts. Everything is going very well at the moment.”

“Wylan has reinjured himself in training. He has the same injury in the same place. It’s very disappointing.” The coach of Les Aiglons added that the midfielder won’t be back in action before “another three or four weeks, depending on how he responds to treatment.”
