Cyprien: “Knowing how to pick up points when things are tough”

On Saturday, Les Aiglons and Les Brestois couldn’t be separated (0-0). After the final whistle, Wylan Cyprien stopped to speak with Bein Sports. “We would have liked to have done better, especially given the number of chances that we had that we weren’t able to convert”, explained the midfielder before adding: “But sometimes you need to know how to pick up points when things are tough, something that we haven’t been able to do in our recent away trips. Since Rennes, we hadn’t picked up a point away from home, so it’s a good point if we can now build upon it against Toulouse. We will take the point picked up this evening because it wasn’t an easy match. We didn’t concede and so it’s a clean sheet this evening and we will take that away from this match.”

Struggling in the first half, the Niçois showed attacking strength after returning from the dressing room with 11 shots (including 5 on target)“We were well set up and we felt that we could make a difference so we pushed forward without thinking about the defensive balance, continued Cyprien, who believes that Le Gym were “lucky not to have been made to pay. It was based on good intentions as we wanted to take all three points this evening, so we pushed on and added numbers up front. We will take a hard look at this match and prepare well for Toulouse next Saturday (at 8.45pm).
