Stats

History, form, attack, defence...

On Saturday, OGC Nice welcome SCO d'Angers (at 8pm). Here are the key stats to know before the encounter with the side currently in third in the league (24 points after 14 matches).

A balanced record

The record between Nice and Angers in Ligue 1 since SCO returned to the top flight in 2015 is perfectly balanced, with two wins for each side and four draws.

The example of 2016

Le Gym have only won one of their four home matches against Angers in Ligue 1 in the 21st century (two draws, one defeat). It was in fact the first of the century on 15 January 2016 (2-1). Hatem Ben Arfa scored a brace from the penalty spot (80', 84').

Contrasting form

Le Gym have lost four of their last six matches in Ligue 1 (one win, one draw), that’s as many as in their previous 13 (six wins, three draws). SCO, however, remain unbeaten in their last four matches in Ligue 1 (two wins, two draws), a first since March-April last year (6).

Home vs Away

The form switches when considering the stats for the Niçois at home and Les Angevins away from home. OGC Nice have only lost three of their last 21 home matches at the Allianz Riviera in Ligue 1 (12 wins, six draws), while Stéphane Moulin’s side have only won one of their last seven away trips (two draws, four defeats). It was against Toulouse on 25 September (2-0).

Attack vs Defence

Le Gym have scored in each of their last ten home matches in Ligue 1, the longest current run. Les Aiglons can rely on Kasper Dolberg, who has been involved in three of the last six Nice goals in Ligue 1 (two goals, one assist). Angers have kept a clean sheet in their last four Ligue 1 matches, the club’s longest run without conceding a goal in the top flight since November-December 2015 (four matches). They have never made it to five matches without conceding in L1. Ludovic Butelle, Angers’ goalkeeper, hasn’t conceded a goal in his last 383 minutes of league football, the best record in the top flight this season.
