Patrick Vieira leaves his mark on the Promenade des Champions

The career of the OGC Nice Head Coach was honoured during the 17th Golden Foot Ceremony in Monaco.

Created in 2003 by agent Antonio Caliendo, this event, which takes place at the Fairmont Hotel in Monte-Carlo, rewards active footballers that are at least 28 years old.

This time around, four new legends were selected to leave their footprints on the Promenade des Champions, which be found on the sea front in the Principality.

For the 2019 edition, the Golden Foot jury decided to recognise Patrick Vieira. Presented with his award yesterday by the founder of the competition, Coach Vieira was joined by Paulo Roberto Falcao, José Altafini and Carolina Morace.

Les Aiglons’ coach now joins the football hall of fame alongside other greats of the game including Andréa Pirlo, Zinédine Zidane or even Diego Maradona.
