The coach and the members of his squad

Happy with his side’s victory over Rennes at Roazhon Park on Sunday (2-1), Patrick Vieira delighted in the quality of his side in his post-match analysis.

“The lads were extraordinary, the youngsters but also those who are used to playing. Wylan (Cyprien), Adri’ (Tameze), Pierre (Lees-Melou) took on their responsibilities and drove the team forward. They allowed those playing alongside them to remain calm” declared Les Aiglons’ coach.

The coach also made reference to other members of the Red and Black squad. “Youcef is really important, because he is someone who gives us lots of depth. At the same time, our style of play also helps him to express his talent. When he is at that level, it’s really interesting for us.

He then concluded with a nod to his central defensive pairing. “Gautier (Lloris) showed his intelligence, he was always well placed, and never got himself into danger. I am really happy for him because he has had two very difficult years. The medical team has worked incredibly hard to get him back out on the pitch and today, he is able to play and express his talent. Andy Pelmard through the middle was also very solid.”
