Stade Rennais have only lost one of their last eight home matches in Ligue 1 (five wins and two draws). It was on 29 March against Olympique Lyonnais (0-1). In fact, the Bretons haven’t lost two consecutive league home games since December 2017/January 2018. 

A dominant Nice

Rennes haven’t won any of their last seven encounters against Nice in Ligue 1 (2 draws and 5 defeats), making it the longest run without a win against Les Aiglons in their top-flight history. The Bretons’ last win over Le Gym in L1 dates back to 25 April 2015 (2-1). 

Le Gym find the back of the net 

OGC Nice have only failed to score on one occasion - 11 January 2014 (0-0) - in the last 15 games against Stade Rennais in the top flight (25 goals scored).

Ben Arfa, danger-man 

In a Rennes shirt, Hatem Ben Arfa has scored seven goals in 22 games in Ligue 1 this season. In his career, he has only exceeded this on one occasion. In 2015/16, when he bagged 17 goals for... Le Gym. 

The side’s first encounter 

It was against Rennes that Nice kicked off their 2018-19 season at home (2-1, Week 5 of L1). Allan Saint-Maximin opened the scoring before Pierre Lees-Melou doubled the home side’s lead from outside of the box.
