On Sunday (Week 11 of L1 at 4pm), the Gym will attempt to open the club’s scoring record at the Matmut Atlantique.

Although Bordeaux - Nice matches played at the Stade Chaban-Delmas were often spectacular, with an average of 3.4 goals per game, this stat has changed direction since the move to the Matmut Atlantique.

In fact, since the opening of the stadium in May 2015, the Gym have travelled there on three occasions in the league. Each of these encounters led to a goalless draw (on 19 February 2016, 21 December 2016 and 25 February 2018).

There was, however, one prolific battle at the Matmut Atlantique: during the Round of 16 of the Coupe de la Ligue, which was won 3-2 by Girondins on 14 December 2016. On that evening, Alassane Plea and Mario Balotelli became the first two Nice scorers on the ground.
