Looking back

Plea, again

On Friday, SCO d'Angers and the  Gym will keek off week 33 of the league (at 8.45pm).

It will be the Aiglons' third visit to the Stade Raymond Kopa since Angers returned to the top flight. After a draw in 2015-16 (1-1), it was during the subsequent season that the Niçois got back onto winning terms at Angers, where they hadn't won since 15 December 1979 (2-3).

Bringing that quality finish to a move that was started in the 4th minute by Mika Seri and Valentin Eysseric, Alassane Plea allowed Lucien Favre's side to win a second straight victory, the first away from home (0-1, during week 2 of the season).

Wylan Cyprien, who was celebrating his first start for the club and Valentin Eysseric could have increased the scoreline, but the two midfielders were denied by the woodwork (41', 86'). Angers also hit the bar through Romain Thomas (17').
