Four years ago, to the day, OGC Nice took on Stade Rennais on the opening day of the 2016-17 Ligue 1 season. The terrorist attack on 14 July that claimed the lives of 86 people was still a vivid and tragic memory, as Les Aiglons, in a stadium all dressed in black, recorded a 1-0 victory courtesy of a goal from Malang Sarr.
