Thank you

Without you, there wouldn’t be a derby. Football would be left without passion. Lifeless. While the Aiglons may have fallen against the high-quality Monaco side, you once again showed how fantastic you are. Thank you to all of you, the superb fans. All of you who deserve this personal message.

A good party needs to be prepared in advance. Always happy to travel to Monaco, the Gym built up the pressure during the week, so that a match between the two neighbours remains for all an unmissable occasion. But a good party is relished, above all, at that given moment. And at the given moment, my word, you added atmosphere to a derby that was somewhat difficult on the pitch. On scooters, on the train or by car, your short procession, known and recognized, was able to take place once again, between Nice and Monaco.

Well practiced, it didn’t lose one ounce of its spice. French football appreciated it, Europe must have done too.

Inside the Louis-II, your noise was unfaltering and pushed the Gym on. Your songs rung around the stadium to provide the players with a homely feel. Your chants made the walls and screens shake. You were even able to give a standing ovation to a former Red and Black as he left the field, even though he had taken on the role of executioner during the game.

Frustrated at the end of the game, you still burst into song to thank the players before they left the pitch.

During this painful post-match, don’t be mistaken, it is really the Gym that thanks you!
